The VTech Wall.E Learning Laptop probably will not interest you at all. Kids however, will enjoy 15 activities in five modes that teach letters, words, math, logic and games. Other features include moving arms, an LCD screen, QWERTY keyboard and a "winking" right eye.
When we were kids our version of this toy was the 2-XL Robot from Mego. That learning toy was basically a glorified 8-track player that only had four buttons and blinking red eyes. The Wall.E Learning Laptop looks like a great learning toy for children but we can't hide our disappointment in the lack of advancement in learning toys. See, when we were kids we envisioned that ACTUAL ROBOTS would be the toys our kids would be learning from. (Think Teddy from the movie "A.I." and you'll catch our drift.)

Designed and made by Seiko Instruments, this unique timepiece features a small, rotating earth that makes a full rotation every 24 hours and uses a time zone indicator and orange dot to indicate the minutes. In addition to quartz movement and a 10 year Lithium battery, the watch crystal is made of Hardlex and the watch casing is made from Titanium. Water resistant to 100 meters and ridiculously expensive, this watch is the perfect gift for any evil arch-villain who wants to look down at his or her wrist and exclaim: "Yes, all mine! YOU WILL ALL BE MINE!"

Waking up in the morning is rarely exciting or even interesting for that matter. Well now you can wake up to dynamite every single morning. It doesn’t get much more exciting than that. Granted, it might not take away the Monday morning blues, but it might at least on occasion give you enough of a laugh to cope with the morning a little better. Although being so tall and slim it would be far easier to knock this over or on a particularly grumpy morning, be chucked at the wall.

USB charging is the way to go these days, and I long for the day where all USB connectors are standardized so that we need not bring so many different chargers when traveling. Gadget mavens Brando takes a step towards that reality with its AC to 5-USB Power Adaptor, allowing you to charge up to five different USB-powered devices simultaneously whenever there is no computer or notebook available, as long as it is hooked up to a wall socket. What happens if you’re in a different country then? Fear not for Brando has that ground covered by offering alternative plugs for the US, UK, Australia and Europe, making it compatible with virtually any country you step foot onto. The travel charger is smart enough to adjust all voltages and frequencies automatically when plugged in, so there is no need to lug around a heavy converter with you. This nifty device will cost you $22 a pop.

If you’re in serious need of some extra hubs, this is packed full of them. It also has a couple of extra features, such as a thermometer. I’m not really sure why you’d need a thermometer to tell you the temperature of the room you’re already in, but it has one. It tells both Celsius and Fahrenheit one on each of the dials on the front of the hub. It’d be nice if they added a clock, or pretty much anything besides a thermometer. On the plus side when your boss keeps the office too cold or hot, you can tell them the accurate temperature within your complaint about the room temperature.

They say that good things come to those who wait. Like us you once looked at the super-secure Maxtor BlackArmor drives and thought "Wow, I'd really like one of those, but they are way too spensive." This is a drive you could feel safe about putting your tax returns on, with its hardware-based full-disc encryption technology and all. Hmm, what's that? BlackArmor drives are only $59 at TigerCompUSA? Whoa!
If you somehow happen to live within the blind spot where cellphone signal coverage is concerned, or have certain parts of your home “blacked out” for no apparent reason, might we suggest the USB cellphone booster from ThinkGeek?
The USB Cellphone Booster plugs into your USB port and improves incoming and outgoing cellphone voice and data within a 5 foot radius. Simply place the wired antenna up to 15 feet away from the USB base unit in an area of marginal coverage. We got an increase in signal strength of 2-3 bars and made our iPhones very happy in the process. You’ll be the hero of those impromptu Starbucks meetings as your co-workers enjoy improved voice and data coverage.
Needless to say, you can’t make something out of nothing, so it is a great idea to have at least one bar of signal in order for the $99.99 USB Cellphone Booster to work. Has anyone used something like this yet, and how do you find it?

Some people like to say that "size doesn't matter." We think that those people have never seen the gigapixel photographs taken with a GigaPan Epic Sytem. David Bergman, a self-described "All Access" photographer took his GigaPan Epic to the recent inauguration of President Barack Obama:
My final photo is made up of 220 Canon G10 images and the file is 59,783 X 24,658 pixels or 1,474 megapixels. It took more than six and a half hours for the Gigapan software to put together all of the images on my Macbook Pro and the completed TIF file is almost 2 gigabytes.
Priced at $379, we think the GigaPan Epic is a steal for what it does.
MTI Micro has unveiled a new
fuel cell charger to power up your gadgets. This little device uses replaceable fuel cartridges. MTI Micro is not the first, and hopefully won't be the last, company to go to the fuel cell for portable convenient power. The MTI Micro Mobion prototype works with cartridges of the liquid fuel methanol. Each cartridge offers about 25 hours of power. When it's depleted, users just pop it out of the charger and replace it with another one.

The Fuel Cell Charger is set to be available as a product by end of 2009. This definitely seems like a move in the right direction. So what does this 25 hours of power get you - 10 charges for your cellphone and enough power for your favorite MP3 player to play 10,000 songs or 100 hours of video!
Ericsson and Intel have developed an all new technology to locate your laptop if it is stolen and disable it. It works using
GPS technology and you might just even be able to locate it if the chip has not been removed from the laptop just yet. Some of us have laptops with data encryption software which protects all the data in the hard drive in case of theft but this technology is just taking it one step further.
